Sandpoint woman gets 24 months for gun theft
A federal judge has sentenced a Sandpoint woman to 24 months in prison for her role in stealing 33 guns from a Ponderay pawn shop.
The judge also ordered Jennifer Dunnagan, 23, to pay more than $8,100 in restitution and serve three years of supervised release after prison.
Dunnagan pleaded guilty to the crime in July to burglarizing Pawn Now on Dec. 27, 2011. She was accused of taking part in the heist with 19-year-old Christopher Garlin of Clark Fork. Garlin also pleaded guilty and is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 3.
The case was investigated by a collection of federal, county and local agencies.
