Three people were sent to Kootenai Medical Center for injuries on Saturday afternoon after one driver ran a stop sign west of Athol, Idaho.

Dexter P. Olmstead, 16, of Spirit Lake was driving northbound on Clagstone Road near SH 54 when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection. That's when the other driver, Wiliam W. Ramsbottom, 41 of Post Falls, collided with Olmstead.

They both left the roadway on the northside of SH 54. Ramsbottom went through a fence before coming to a rest. He was sent to the hospital for injuries along with Christine M. Rice-Ramsbottom, 43.

Olmstead was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
