Bike for my buddy | Events

Pack up your bike and your friends, it's going to be a beautiful weekend to pedal for a great cause. It's time for 24 Hours for Hank Cycling for Cystinosis bike ride in Sandpoint.

Hank is my little buddy who has a rare condition called Cystinosis. Kris Crocker, Mark Peterson and I took part in the 24 Hours for Hank ski event at Schweitzer Mountain last spring and heard so many wonderful things about the bike ride.

It's too late to register on line for it, but you can fax your information today, or just show up with your gear tomorrow. Here are some of the highlights: dinner Saturday night, with live entertainment, a midnight feed and a homemade breakfast. Folks from Greasy Fingers Bike Shop will be on hand to keep you up and running.

There is a 19 mile lap that starts on Shingle Mill Drive, winding through the Selle Valley, then following the Lower Pack River. The ride is Saturday, September 8th, starting at 11 am. There is also a kids ride on a 2.5 mile course. Click here for all the details.
