Title (Max 100 Characters)
A crowd of 30,000 is expected to pour into downtown Coeur d'Alene on Friday to kick off the Christmas season with the 25th annual Holiday Light Show.
The event starts at 5:00 p.m. with a parade along Sherman Avenue. (Hint: Get there an hour or two early to a claim a spot on the sidewalk.) At 6:00, head over to the front lawn of the Coeur d'Alene Resort to sing Christmas carols. A 1,200-shell fireworks show begins at approximately 6:15, and then they flip the switch to turn the holiday lights on, all 1.5 million of them.
The Holiday Light Show cruises, including a trip to the "North Pole," start Saturday and run through January 2nd. You can book tickets through the Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Friday's weather forecast looks, well...seasonal. Expect temperatures in the upper 30's with a chance of showers, so bundle up the kids and have fun!
